Someone walked into a cafe near UW campus today (12 blocks) and shot up the shop. 3 people ended up dying and I didn’t find out about the event until I was on the bus to campus only 30 minutes after the event happened. I found out on my phone reading the news. At that exact time there was another shooting in downtown Seattle.

You’d think that UW Police would send out their usual text messages that they send out for things like chemical spills or burglaries. I mean 4 people were dead at this point with the gunman at large. Now that I think about it, I can’t believe I thought it was safe to continue going to school at all. It wasn’t until an hour and half after the first incident did the police send out an email saying to look out for this guy. An email. People always carry their cell phones. I find it incredibly unsafe that the police left an entire campus exposed like that.

I’m sending this to the plotter printer tomorrow and it’s gonna cost like $48 bucks to print. Everything must be perfect. To a viewer who has no background of this project, I need to know that it is easy to understand with the information provided. Just a hint, it’s supposed to be set in 2032. It’s for my interaction design class. Much help is appreciated!

WHY must you always barf on my rugs? My apartment is all linoleum and tile, yet it’s always the rugs. And what’s with the butt in my face? Cats are jerks.

My cat summed up. If he barfs, he always aims for multiple blankets on my bed…meaning I have to wash all of them. Source: pusheen

Marriage Proposal of the Day: The planning! The dorkiness! The tears!

So imperfect it’s perfect.

[thanks, rob!]

The best marriage proposal in the history of ever.
